The control system utilizes an advanced PLC combined with VFDs architecture. Throughout the paper production process, the paper web experiences varying physical changes that impact its length:
Wet End: The paper web prolongs longitudinally due to initial traction action.
Dry End (Start): Longitudinal elongation continues as drying begins.
Drying Process: As the moisture content decreases, this elongation naturally reduces.
Calendering and Reeling: The paper prolongs once again under traction as it enters the final stages.
Because of these dynamic changes, maintaining precise paper web tension requires each individual section of the paper machine to operate at a slightly different speed. To prevent the paper from sagging or breaking due to over-tensioning, the system requires a highly adaptable speed regulation range of 10–15% for each individual drive.
By relying on the exceptional performance of the Hibba Traders VFD for paper-making machines, customers have successfully minimized their maintenance costs while significantly improving paper product quality and smoothness.
Field tests conducted with a tachometer confirm that the operating speed remains highly stable. Furthermore, adopting the Hibba Traders drive solution has led to a noticeable reduction in overall electricity costs.
Let’s build smarter, faster, and more efficient systems together.
